Hiya! As a new member I am just curious......for those of you who made the move to GC, what type of jobs did you apply for or end up getting? I am just curious!
Thanks!

How interesting! When I first graduated from high school.....like 10 years ago, I went into nursing and I always said that I wanted to work somewhere hot and takes care of sunburns all day. Well.....turns out I faint at the sight of blood so that career went out the window! So then I enrolled in Business Admin and actually met my hubby in school there!

Everything happens for a reason. I met my wife-to-be in a nightclub not realising she lived in the same nurses quarters as me!

I truly believe that! I really do! My husband is my soul mate, as corny as that sounds, but we were made for each other. When we met we both wanted to move to Calgary, we have many fo the same interests and thankfully one of them is to move to GC. I think it will be a great experience even if we do it for a year or so......

Most of the jobs that I applied for fell under the heading of computer nerd. But being a rather large offshore financial center and popular tourist destination there are always a wide spectrum of jobs available all over the island. I think that the time it takes to find a job here depends on your field, how flexable you are and what your work experience and schooling levels are.

But then again, I've been proven wrong many times

And I'm surrounded by three little giggling school girls with pigtails and stains on their knees.

Jamie, have you joined the coven? Seems you've started voicing your (wrong) opinion recently
