EXPERT OPINION COMING UP!!!!

Yoshi Sushi in the shops next to Safehaven is one of the best sushi places Kela and I have ever been to. Yoshi creates excellent rolls of every fair with a gentle grace that only comes from decades of practice and exacting hands. The menu is the basic usual sushi flair with a slightly higher price then comparable places in North America. The California roll and the mackerel sashimi are not to be missed. The only complaint I have ever had at Yoshi’s is that you cannot order individual rolls. If you are going on the weekend make sure you call ahead for a reservation. Let me know if you have any particular questions or want a copy of the menu.

What about that bamboo place? Is that any good?
BDHamilton Posted - 13 April 2004 : 20:42:32
They charge way too much for just average sushi. If you do go to Bamboo try the sushi pizza. Other then that, spend 2/3 less money and hit Yoshi Sushi.

Side point: Samurai Sushi is run by Yoshi's wife - it is very comparable and only slightly less refined and offers a step down in ambience. The menus between the two places are almost identical.

I'm ecstatic to hear that there's great sushi on the island! I had been trying to figure out how to get my favorite montreal sushi as a dependant on my visa
jonathan Posted - 14 April 2004 : 19:03:34

Paola, resorting to trying to get cold fish as a dependent now eh - no living humans you know

Jonathan, an important word was ommitted in my hurried posting: "chef" I thought you would have been quick enough to pick that up
jonathan Posted - 16 April 2004 : 00:23:13
Would have if i'd paid attention to your posts, but don't normally so didn't see why i should now
Val, what time do you arrive and are you meeting us for a few beers that evening? Can you play pool? Kris will know where i'm heading with this one
Jonathan
moonblaze Posted - 16 April 2004 : 06:38:54
Jonathan - I arrive at 7pm....yes I am definitely going to have a few beers....yes we have a pool table at home.....and...actually Kris is kind enough to pick me up at the airport. I am staying at Sunset House
BDHamilton Posted - 16 April 2004 : 08:05:20
Mmmmmmm went to Yoshi's again last night and want to add another must have to the list. The Chilean Tuna is incredible. Please tell Dave we sent you.
jonathan Posted - 16 April 2004 : 14:31:22
Val, Kris is picking you up? In his car?? Are you nuts??? Well if you're up for it we might drag you out for a beer and game of pool whilst watching some (ice) hockey! Kris can watch the (ice) hockey, we'll drink beer and shoot pool.

Sounds like a great plan....I am always up for a beer...remember I have a British/Canadian reputation to protect here, and one of my nationality would never turn down such an offering..hehe
moonblaze Posted - 18 April 2004 : 07:26:40
of beer that is...(just thought I better clarify that for those whose minds are wandering in a different direction)...
Suna Posted - 18 April 2004 : 10:36:41
wander is their minds really do
moonblaze Posted - 18 April 2004 : 21:38:10
and their legs and arms just go independantly of their minds...kind of like one of those marionettes..
Suna Posted - 19 April 2004 : 17:41:03

Miss Parker Posted - 20 April 2004 : 00:01:00
